If those don't work restarting and holding down the mouse button/trackpad button while it restarts should force-eject the disk. Best of luck in what I'm sure will turn out to be a good move for you. Be sure and sign up for MacLaw@ Yahoo groups and/or milogroup on google, both mac using lawyer groups. I have been using Linux for many years now in one form or another. I also use a winblows machine for the software that I can't run on Linux (Esilaw). Overall the Linux works very well. Support (thousands of users on various forums) is excellent and it never breaks down. I always thought that the Mac would be a refined version of the Linux user experience. I will be interested to hear about your experience as you continue to use your Mac in a legal context. Mac is a form of Linux operating system.
